Meet the instructor

Sofiya Leshchinsky – a violinist, educator, and lifelong music lover. Born in Ukraine and raised in Santa Barbara, Sofiya’s journey with the violin began at age six, leading to a double major in violin performance and music education from Biola’s Conservatory of Music. With over 20 years of experience and a passion for teaching, she believes every child can learn music, just as they learn language—with the right guidance and support. Whether performing in orchestras or nurturing young musicians, she finds joy in both music and family.
